Ok. I realize I haven't posted since Sunday but I honestly just haven't had much of anything interesting to talk about. I am not doing so well on my challenge. I haven't weighed since Sunday but I am pretty sure I haven't lost an ounce! I SUCK! Which brings me to this question:
Have any of you ever tried the delivery meals or pre-prepared meal plans where your food is already made for you and portioned out and stuff??? I see in my magazines all the time that celebrities use those delivery services to keep in shape and eating right because it takes off the pressure of having to cook a bunch of meals and the convenience factor too. I am thinking of trying this out. I feel like I have reached the end of my rope on this crap.
I am on some crazy ass emotional rollercoaster and the weight loss just isn't kicking in because, quite frankly, I don't give a shit enough to let it. I have finally come to terms with this. I just don't think I am caring enough to make this work. I have definitely become complacent with where I am and I hate that because I truly want to move on. It's like a have a split personality or something. The angel me is on one shoulder saying "Jessica, get in gear and get this weight off...you will be so happy/healthy when you do" and on the other side is the demon me saying "Hey, you are fine where ya are. Don't try so hard. No biggy if ya stay right here." And guess what, the demon is easier to listen to and it's definitely been winning the battle.
Anyway....I just wanted to let everyone know, yes I am still alive and kicking....
Today is my hubby's birthday and we are going out tomorrow night to celebrate with a bunch of our friends. Should be a wonderful time.

Oh honey...I sense so much frustration in your words...and I'm sorry for that. I do believe you have what it takes to get there. Do you think you should maybe try therapy for some of your insecurities and fears and then maybe the physical part will follow? I want what's best for you.
ReplyDeleteI have been exactly where you're at, many times. I battle with this even now sometimes; I think the main reason we do this is because it's so hard to lose from where we're at. We're so close to goal- so sometimes we just say to ourselves- I'm fine with this- because the battle is so hard and our little hearts need a break.
ReplyDeleteYou can do this Jess. Yes- it's hard. It's SO HARD. No one gets this better than me; I'm at the last 15 pounds too and can't get them off no matter what I do. But people overcome these battles, and we can too. It may be time to try a new tactic. Maybe the meal order plans are a good option for you to try. I personally don't want to try them yet because when all is said and done- will I gain weight once I go off them? Because I didn't learn myself how to portion things correctly? Who knows...that's something you'll have to figure out. Good luck babe! I know you can do it!!!

ReplyDeleteI have tried Nutrasystem ages ago. I liked most of the food. I got bored of it but mostly that is because I liked to eat.
Have you thought about going to a nutrition consultant? Just to see what they suggest!
I know you will get back to where you want to be! But don't lose sight that you have done so vert well already! Be proud of that!
I've heard a lot of times, the food kinda sucks on the premade stuff but if you're that busy, it might be a good option. You've done really well and you should be proud of it. It sounds like you're at a point though where you need to decide which side you're going to banish from your thinking...the angel or the devil. As long as you have the internal struggle going on, you won't be satisfied. You need to accept one or the other or you'll be miserable. Just my 2 cents. Hang in there!
